In Shaker Heights, people believe in rules, and they don’t like when strangers start altering them. Although relatively slow-paced, the author easily grabs the reader’s attention with deeply moving characters and relationships in a multifaceted and profoundly layered novel.
The miniseries adaptation starring Reese Witherspoon and Kerry Washington is available on Hulu and from May 22 on Prime Video.
